Training on cardiovascular emergencies at the Gyneco-Obstetrics and Pediatric Hospital of Douala

Chaired by Prof. Emile MBOUDOU, the training on Cardiovascular Emergencies at HGOPED began on January 21, 2021, and ended with the formal delivery of end of training certificates on January 22, 2021.

The qualified supervisors namely Pr. BONNY Aimé (cardiologist-lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmaceutical Sciences of Douala), Dr. YOMBA Aimé (HGOPED cardiologist), Dr. Monkam Audrey (HGOPED cardiologist) and Ms. MIZANE Mouiche (laboratory technician); also received certificates from the Director of Research, Training and Innovation, Prof. ELOUMOU.

The participants say they are satisfied with the knowledge transmitted to them by the trainers.

CHAN 2021: A new health challenge for the gyneco-obstetrics and pediatric hospital of Douala (HGOPED).

Inaugurated on November 19, 2015 by Prime Minister Philémon Yang, and led by Madame Epée, née Kotto Mouyema Honorée Denise President of the Board of Directors and by Pr. Emile MBOUDOU Director General, Gyneco-Obstetrics and Pediatrics Hospital of Douala ( HGOPED), is a first-category hospital-based Public Establishment which has faced a major challenge since its creation; that of its implementation. Five years later, this hospital complex was selected for the medical coverage of the CHAN 2021 pole of Japoma, “another major challenge”.

Equipped with cutting-edge infrastructure, a technical platform meeting international standards, and a highly qualified medical staff; the architectural gem reassures its prospects. Here is a new opportunity for the big HGOPED family to once again put forward its know-how.

 

The determination of “a special CHAN 2021 patient circuit” will undoubtedly guarantee the diligence of the various cases received in all the specialties offered by the health structure (internal medicine, pediatrics, Laboratory, surgery, External consultation, Ophthalmology, Anesthesia, resuscitation , Emergencies, Medical Imaging). The competition kicks off on January 16, 2021; troops are mobilized and ready to act at HGOPED.

COVID 19 DONATIONS: HGOPED, in the spotlight.

The Covid-19 pandemic is decimating everything in its path, killing thousands around the world. This is a major challenge for all Cameroonian health facilities, be they first or second category, “fighting becomes an imperative for survival”

CHAN 2021: Interview with the Director General of HGOPED

On January 26, 2021 at 10 am sharp, Cameroon Radio Television (CRTV), took stock of the mid-term with Pr. Emile MBOUDOU President of the Japoma CHAN 2021 site medical commission.

Under a game of questions and answers, the words of the President reassure, the situation is under control:

« The Republic of Cameroon, in close collaboration with CAF, has spared no effort to ensure perfect control of health risks; There is no doubt that the care before the quarterfinals was easier where we had on average fifteen cases (15) per day. Today that we are approaching the second phase of the qualifiers, it requires more human and technical resources with an increase in the awareness-raising system, making masks available to spectators, preventing the transmission of Covid-19 while promoting vigilance; anyway, we are prepared for any eventuality »
