Your rights

Home Your rights

The health professionals inform you, each in his field, of competence on your state of health, its foreseeable evolution and the treatments envisaged. No medical act can be performed without your free and informed consent.

Access to information about your health
  • Possibility either to consult the file on site (free) or to request the sending of copies (reproduction and mailing costs charged).
  • Your file is kept for 20 years from the date of your last hospitalization or outpatient consultation.
  • The beneficiaries of a deceased patient may also have access to certain information in the file.
The trusted person

Possibility of designating in writing a person of your choice to accompany you and assist you in making a medical decision. If you were to be unable to express your will, that person would be seen by the doctor for advice.

Discretion and confidentiality

Your information is only accessible by yourself. You can request that your presence is not disclosed and that information concerning your state of health is not communicated to your relatives.

Data processing and freedoms

The patient has a right of information, access and rectification, for personal information concerning him and which is contained in computer processing.
